What’sAndy Rubin has to offer this time; I think we have some glimpse of that.
More than a decade after Andy Rubin marketed his Android mobile operating system to Google; he is finally in the cell phone business.
On this Monday he popped a tweet with a sneak peek at the expected phone of his brand new company, “Essential.” In the super inexplicit tweet, Rubin, who resigned Google many years ago, drafted he was “eager to get it into more people’s hands.” We have to think he is addressing about the phone somebody holding in the photograph.
All we can see of the phone is the top right corner where it shows the time and a few icons.
Meanwhile, in the Bloomberg profile of Essential, the new smartphone was reported as a “high-end smartphone with a large edge-to-edge screen that with bezel-less.” It seems like that bezel-less, and big screen concept will be a certainty, based on the graphic evidence.
The Essential is expected to rival Apple’s iPhone and Google’s Pixel.
Let’s see if Rubin can run his spell again.
